TRP ON TOP AT THE US OPEN

Aaron Gwin takes the US Open win as TRP riders close out the 2026 Pro Downhill Series with championship titles and podiums across the standings.

The 2026 US Open brought the final round of the Pro Downhill Series to Deer Valley, Utah, for a huge weekend of racing. From the first runs, the course was technical, loose and constantly changing. Riders were forced to adapt throughout the weekend, while a packed Utah crowd lined the track for Saturday’s finals. TRP riders were on pace from the start—and by the end of the weekend, Aaron Gwin stood on top of the US Open podium. The weekend also capped off a strong Pro Downhill Series campaign, with Nate Kitchen and Connor Knipscheer securing the overall titles in their respective classes.

GWIN WINS THE US OPEN

Aaron Gwin showed his speed early, qualifying second in Pro Men by just 0.33 seconds.

Come finals, Gwin flipped the script.

The Frameworks Racing / TRP rider put together a winning run through the loose Deer Valley track, stopping the clock at 2:42.250 and taking the victory by just 0.333 seconds.

The win marks Gwin's second victory with Frameworks Racing / TRP and his second US Open win, delivering one of his strongest performances of the season in front of a fired-up Utah crowd.

ANOTHER TRP WIN: KNIPSCHEER ON TOP

SpokeX / Mondraker rider Connor Knipscheer took the win in Cat 1 Boys 17–18, adding another US Open victory for TRP at Deer Valley. On a track that challenged riders all weekend, Connor put together a strong finals run when it counted, closing out the weekend on the top step of the podium.

KITCHEN CLAIMS THE PDS OVERAL

The weekend at Deer Valley also brought the 2026 Monster Pro Downhill Series to a close, with TRP riders finishing 1–2 in the Elite Men’s overall standings. Intense Factory Racing’s Nate Kitchen secured the series title, capping off a strong season of racing, while ZFR’s Coles Suetos finished second overall to complete a TRP sweep of the top two positions.

THE RACING ISN’T OVER YET

Utah’s race scene has been on another level this year, and for TRP, it’s all happening in our own backyard. With our U.S. headquarters based here in Utah, having this level of racing so close to home makes the season even more special.

Now that the US Open has wrapped up at Deer Valley, attention turns to Soldier Hollow, where the UCI Mountain Bike XC World Cup arrives next weekend. It’s been a wild year for racing in Utah—and there’s still more to come.
